Luciano Biondini: acc
Michel Godard: tb, eb
Ernst Reijseger: vc
Accordion, tuba, serpent, cello – virtuosity, wittiness and a good pinch of anarchic humour. The audience can brace itself for something when Luciano Biondini, Michel Godard and Ernst Reijseger come together. These three shrewd musicians ignore all genre frontiers with sovereignty. They have known each other for many years and have already shared the shared the stage in different constellations and projects – but rarely in this trio arrangement. It is difficult to make out the musical reservoir from which these three musicians create: the tuba player Michel Godard wanders about between jazz and improvised music, plays baroque music and can also be seen at the “Donaueschinger Musiktage”. Godard has also repeatedly been a guest at Enjoy Jazz. Likewise, the cellist Ernst Reijseger covers everything from classical music to free improvisations. His capacious use of the cello for sound creations also brings in performance art. The renowned accordion virtuoso Luciano Biondini underwent classical training but doesn’t like to commit himself: classical, folklore, jazz – as of a particular level everything is simply music and inspiration.
