Somewhere between ambient and the electronic Mild Davis, Dark Jazz and Punk, Prog-Rock and Post-Rock are the areas in which the quartet All Too Human lives without accepting those borders. Sharp and shrill and bright glitters Marc Ducret’s guitar; floating as from another decade moves Kasper Tranberg’s trumpet over the occasional planar, sometimes wild meander sounds. Simon Toldam lays out the foundation with his chosen, historical synthesizers. Tact, structure and eruptive elegance is awarded by Peter Bruun, who plays drums and keyboard simultaneous. 2017 the four musicians got together, coming from different contexts but still supplementing each other in their ideas. Peter Bruun is part of ILK (Independent Label of København) a free-minded collective, whose goal is to offer a platform to the lively Copenhagen jazz-scene. He belong to Django Bates’ Trio Belovèd (ECM) as well as the Samuel Blaser Trio. Kasper Tronberg worked as sideman for Steve Swallow, Tim Berne, Tyshawn Sorey or Yusef Lateef. Mar Ducret played in the quartet of Louis Sclavis and also with Tim Berne. And Simon Toldam is part of ILK, is the leader of his own trio and associates with Han Bennik. This quartet combines a lot of experience and the fun of experimenting. You can hear it!
